 Re: Parkour Magazine
I know WWJ tried and failed but that doesnt mean it cant be done.
I think its a good idea. I'd be prepared to pay for it if the content was half decent and i'm sure others would too.

Freerunning section (Tricks Flips and Kicks) - 5 pages 5 Interviews - 2 pages 6. Articles - 2/3 pages 7. Images - 2 pages 8. Websites - 2 pages 9. Reviews - 2 pages 10. Techniques - 1 page. focusing on one techniques each month 11. Products - 2 pages 12. In The Media - 1 page 13. 'Window Shopping' - Places around the UK - 2 pages, focusing on one place each time 14. Q&A's - 2 pages 15. Backscene - 1 page 16. News - 2 pages 17. Plus advertising from businesses .... Screwfix always willing....More corporate money.....7 pages Posted from another post of mine from WWJ They could probs all fit into different categories....but have fun

 Re: Parkour Magazine
First we need a big reputation an a street team to cover all of the UK, We would need reuglar authers and photographers from all around the country, money, and lots of it for printing costs, copy right issues. Committed people, not just us, other people, from other areas, shipping/ distrabution costs.
Small magazines pay distrabuters to have their magazine, then profits are on what is sold.
We need - designers producers editers finacial experts etc and they all need to be experenced
it's a mamouth task
I'd buy one if it was made, but the task of making one is too much. I'd be willing to write articals for seperate magazines, such as 24/7 magazine

 Re: Parkour Magazine
Hello, I'm main editor of e-Parkour e-zin. I must admit it's a really hard work - collecting all the articles before deadline and preparing all the stuff. Actually, I think there's no chance to make a really professional magazine, especially non-internet (is there word like that? ) magazine. We have a lot of problems with releasing new issues. On November we will be celebreting our third birthday. During those (almost) three years of work we managed to release only 17 issues. Parkour scene is still too small for a magazine. It's hard to find new topic. We have ~150 articles now and we have no idea about further topics to write about. It's going to be really hard. If you want to print your magazine... you will need a looot of money. I was thinking about printing my zin on occasion, but it is to expensive - we would pay something about ~400 zloties (~100 pounds) for... 50 pieces. Of course, the cost of one piece is smaller, when you print much more, but you should print something about few tousands pieces to have low price per one piece. You need publisher, distributor and money. And it's not easy to find them "just like that" (especially if it is project like "Hey! Why don't we make magazine?"). Best wishes, Rivo, e-Parkour magazine PS (haha, if I wrote something unclear or incorrect, just say it, it is good way to improve my english )

 Re: Parkour Magazine
Well, how about rather than writing our own we. You could contact local team, such as ours to produce articals themselves and send photos with it. you could corrilate everthing and distrabute it.
I think all you need is a careful eye on the street, with faitful and willing people, and also be ahead of other forms of media.
I've seen seen this site grow rapidly, parkour is getting bigger. If your the first on the market the world is yours.
Best of luck with any future projects. I'm sure we could rate spots and locations, hold events and review them, product reviews, do maybe a traceur foucs artical, where an individul takes you through their jouny of self dicovery thruogh parkour.
it's still a develping culture, theres alot of stuff out there. you just need to be at the forfront.
