 Re: parkour shoes
Hi Anthony, welcome to the forums.
The 'best' shoes for parkour are the Kalenji Success from Decathalon in london, however as of last year they stopped making them and no one has yet been able to find something quite as good.
A lot of it comes down to personal preference as well but basically you want a lightweight trainer with good ankle support and good grip. Something with the flattest sole you can find (but not skate shoes), idealy you want to find something without a bit of plastic between the front and back half of the sole. Some people speak highly of the Nike Darts, New Balance 505's and the Asics Gel. Each of these can be picked up for £20 - £30 from somewhere like JJB

 Re: parkour shoes
Not to my knowledge and if there were I cant see them being very good. I would think any shoe that doesnt lace up could come off quite easily when jumping about and wouldnt have great ankle support.

 Re: parkour shoes
they're not too bad, good for like balance and rail work, precise movements etc.. if you're doing any drops in them, be careful cuz there isn't loads of support... the K swiss shoes aren't too bad tbh, i know of alot of guys in europe who use them, and say they're fine and work quite well, you just gotta bed em in first, which is the same with my pair of kalenjis' took awhile to get them to good times shame i didn't bulk buy when i had the chance...

 Re: parkour shoes
Feiyus are great for wushu, flips on grass and not much else! They will tear up the moment you use them for anything like climbing or catleaps.

 Re: parkour shoes
agreed... Although generally it's not the shoe that matters, its the person, everyone has their different preference for their good pk shoes, (although most agree the best shoe is/was Kalenjis, which i say yes with having own a pair!) what's good for some people, could be bad for others, however, i would reccomend getting shoes with decent ankle and shock support for first starting out, then once you've perfected the art of 'falling with style' you can be more experimental with shoes, i went through a phase of buying different types of £10ish shoes to see which was best for me (and there were a lush pair of umbro shoes that are not out anymore ) anyway, sleep. ;P

 Re: parkour shoes
I love my kalenji success' .. I will shed a tear on the day they fall appart. A trainer with good ankle support is always a plus but I wouldnt concern yourself too much with one that has loads of padding as you wont be able to feel the difference between a good landing and a bad one and thus may develop bad technique over time. Of course if you really want to get your landings soft and controlled, barefoot is the way forward!
