Plymouth

Name :: Haven
Overview :: Situated at the top of town & near the station, this has always been the traditional meeting point for traceurs in Plymouth. Haven was named as such for good reason; it is probably the single best location for parkour and freerunning in the entire city. The vast expance of public open space combined with the huge variety of obsticals makes this place quite special.
Opportunities :: Most of the surfaces have good grip, some a little too much! About 1/4 of Haven is grass and as there is not much in the way of shelter it's best avoided when wet. It's a great place for putting together short 'runs' and combinations of moves, both for parkour and street stunts.
Hazards :: Haven is both a public open space and intentional right of way so as you'd expect, being asked to leave has never been an issue. You do get the odd drunk sat at the concrete tables but they are usually impressed with our skills and do not cause a threat.
Near to :: Copthorne Hotel (directly opposite), Sainsburys, Haven Rails, Big Cat

Name :: Big Cat
Overview :: As the name suggests, the main attraction here is a fairly substantial cat-leap between a raised flowerbed and the outer wall of a subway. There are a few other challenges here as well including some rails to balance on, walls to climb and a jump from the top wall back down to the flowerbed.
Opportunities :: Both walls are made from very course brick which always grips well but the flowerbed is covered in barkchips which can be slippery when damp. Also watch out for the ivy which has a tendency to grow over the landing spot on the higher wall. Theres not a huge ammount to do here but the catleap alone is worth your time. It's one of those things that many people look at first time and think it is impossible but when you land it for the first time you'll feel great and wonder why you used to think it was so difficult.
Hazards :: Your single biggest concern here is 'crazy lady' who lives several stories up in the adjacent flats. She has been there since time begun and despite having done nothing to deserve it she seems to have a passionate hatred for us. Her usual course of action is to throw a selection of projectiles out the window (eggs, milk and hot water from a kettle have all been favourites in the past).
